Friends of the Park

The Centralia Friends of the Park Board (CFPB) is a volunteer citizens committee whose primary goal is to provide fund raising, financial assistance and general support to the Centralia Park Board for special projects that are beyond the financial scope of the City or Park Board. The members of the CFPB are diverse in their professional backgrounds and mirror the community. Membership is open to any citizen interested in community betterment through our parks system. Meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis and are open to the public.

for the citizens of the communityThe Centralia Friends of the Park Board is a 501-C3 Non-Profit Organization and donations made to the Centralia Friends of the Park Board are tax-deductible.

The current focus of the CFPB is looking at the feasibility of a Community Recreation and Fitness Center. The proposed 18,720 square foot facility will be located at the Nathan A. Toalson Bicentennial Park on Lakeview Street. This proposed Recreation and Fitness Center will include an indoor walking track, fitness/cardiovascular center, basketball/multipurpose gymnasium, community room, indoor children's play area, concession area and administration offices. It is the belief of the CFPB that such a facility will greatly enhance life in and around Centralia . Plans and cost estimates are currently being negotiated with an architecture firm and general contractor.
