Centralia Police Chief

My career in Law Enforcement began with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in 1979. During my career with Patrol, I was privileged to enjoy many assignments. The assignments included narcotics, investigations, and being assigned to the Gaming Division of the Patrol. The gaming division has the overall responsibility for the enforcement of statues, rules and regulations of the casino industry in Missouri. Certainly a departure from everyday policing, the opportunity was a great assignment and always 70 degrees on the gaming floor! Just prior to accepting the position as Chief of the Centralia Police Department, I was honored to serve Macon County Sheriff Robert Dawson in the capacity of Chief Deputy Sheriff.

I accepted the position as the Chief of Police in June of 2007. From the time of my appointment by the Mayor and City Council, the mission of The Centralia Police Department is to serve and protect all people by enforcing all laws and providing services to ensure a safe and secure environment. This mission will be achieved through innovative policing and communicating with the people we protect. My mission as the Chief of Police is to ensure the citizens of the community our Police Department is receiving and utilizing adequate training and interacting with the people we serve.
