Notice of Public Hearing Board of Adjustment

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the City of Centralia, Missouri will hold a public hearing at a special meeting of said Board in the City Hall Council Chambers, 114 South Rollins Street, Centralia, Missouri 65240 at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, to give all interested persons an opportunity to appear and be heard in relation to the following appeal and application: Appeal to the Board of Adjustment of the City of Centralia, Missouri, from Centralia Board of Aldermen, at the request of Mayor, Tim Grenke, for an exemption for Randolph Road from the current city code requirement of a 38’ wide street with curb and gutter. The exception request is to allow the City to construct a 24’ wide street without curb and gutter north from MO State Hwy 22 to existing Randolph Road. The request is made to 1) allow for future development of the road at a later date and 2) provide a more cost effective option for construction of the road so as to not deplete the City’s transportation sales tax fund. The exception is requested in the City of Centralia, County of Boone, State of Missouri, hereinafter next described, requesting that said Board modify the application of Section 30.1-18 of the Centralia City Code by being allowed to build a 24’ wide street without curb and gutter in the industrial zoned area shown on the map.
