Centralia has several avenues for supporting economic development. In addition to the City Administrator's office, the City has created the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Centralia, and the City of Centralia, Missouri Enhanced Enterprise Zone. All three of these can be reached at City Hall, (573) 682-2139.
The City is a member of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce and Regional Economic Development, Incorporated (REDI). The latter is an agency with full-time staff which serves the entire Boone County. Through REDI, the City is also a participant in the Missouri CORE, (a four-county economic development association) and Missouri Partnerships, a support agency for the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
