The Centralia Police Department Patrol Division is responsible for patrolling 40 lane miles of roadway inside the city limits of Centralia, Missouri. Centralia is located within Boone County Missouri. The police department provides services for an ever growing community with a 2010 population of approximately 4,027 residents. 

The Patrol Division is comprised of seven road officers who perform functions most people associate with law enforcement. These seven officers are the ones out in the field answering calls for service, conducting criminal investigations, enforcing traffic laws and making on-view criminal arrests. 

In a typical year, Centralia Communications receives roughly 7,500 police related calls for service. When you do the math, the patrol division is fielding 21 incidents a day. Those incidents include business checks, traffic stops, miscellaneous calls for service, and reported crimes. Your police department stays busy, of those 7,500 calls for service, this will result in approximately 1,071 crime reports being investigated.
