General Policies

The following general policies shall be followed by persons upon entering the Centralia Recreation Center:

  • Capacity for total occupancy of the Centralia Recreation Center is 389. No greater number of persons shall be allowed to enter the Centralia Recreation Center except in case of emergency.
  • Membership cards must be scanned or a Daily Admission fee must be paid upon entering the Centralia Recreation Center.
  • A child under the age of 8 or below the 3rd Grade must be accompanied at all times by an adult at least 21 years of age.
  • Shirts and shoes are required at all times while in the Centralia Recreation Center. Socks are required for children playing on indoor playground.
  • The Centralia Recreation Center is a tobacco free building. No smoking or other use of any kind of tobacco products shall occur or be permitted at any time in any part of the Centralia Recreation Center.
  • No alcoholic beverages may be brought into, possessed or consumed at any time in any part of the Centralia Recreation Center.
  • No outside food or drink other than water shall be allowed in any part of the Centralia Recreation Center except during a private event for which the room or area is rented.
  • No cursing or offensive language shall be allowed at any time in any part of the Centralia Recreation Center.
  • No activity or conduct of any person in the Centralia Recreation Center shall be in violation of any state law or city ordinance.

The City of Centralia, Missouri may require anyone violating one or more of these General Policies to immediately leave the Centralia Recreation Center. No refund of any part of the Daily Admission Fee or an annual membership fee or pass shall be made to the person in those circumstances.

The City of Centralia, Missouri reserves the right to deny entry to the Centralia Recreation Center in the future for a specific time period or indefinitely to any person who has violated one or more provisions of these General Policies or any Rental Policies of the Centralia Recreation Center Rental Contract. No refund of any part of the Daily Admission Fee or an annual membership fee or pass shall be made to the person in those circumstances.

Daily Lockers

The City of Centralia is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Therefore it is safest to leave all belongings at home. However, if you bring belongings, it is recommended that you use a locker to store your items safely.

Lockers are available for daily use only. Users must provide their own lock and must remove these locks and their belongings daily. At closing time of the Centralia Recreation Center each day, all locks and belongings will be removed by an employee and placed in lost and found.

Equipment Check-out

The following equipment is available to check-out and use while at the Recreation Center: badminton racquets/birdies, ping pong paddles/balls, air hockey, jump ropes, Wii games/remotes, shuffleboard equipment, card games & board games.

All items checked out must be returned to the receptionist by the guest who checked it out before leaving the Centralia Recreation Center. If equipment is not returned by the guest checking it out, that person will be charged a replacement fee equal to the price of a new piece of any equipment not returned.

Special Rules for the following designated rooms or areas in the Centralia Recreation Center are as follows:

 

Fitness Center

For the safety and consideration of all patrons of the Centralia Recreation Center, you must follow these guidelines in the fitness area:

  • Children 11 and under are NOT allowed in the fitness area.
  • Children ages 12-16 must have their parent or court appointed guardian directly assisting them on the fitness equipment and weights. *(Unless a freshman and they have met with the Park Director and release form has been signed by both the freshman and the parent/guardian).
