Discharge of Fireworks
Fireworks defined as "consumer fireworks" are allowed to be discharged within the City limits pursuant to Section 320.106, RSMo from July 1st - July 4th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. These regulations were updated in July 2020.
Fireworks may NOT be discharged during a burn ban issued by the local Fire Chief or the County Fire Protection District.
Sale of Fireworks
Fireworks sales are allowed inside the City limits from June 20th - July 10th of each year by permit only. A total of five (5) fireworks sales permits may be issued each year by the City Administrator. Centralia City Code, Chapter 11 outlines the requirements for fireworks sales and the application is available for download below.
