Electric Base Rate Increase

The City of Centralia contracts with Ameren Missouri for wholesale electricity. This contract was renewed with the City at the September 2022 Board meeting. The previous contract with the city had not been renewed since 2014. Since that time, infrastructure has been improved and costs, in general, have risen. These improvements and rising costs are causing an increase in our base electricity rate. The new rate as of February 1st will be $16.00 for all electric customers (residential and commercial).
